STIC Khao Yai Environmental Conservation 2017

On February 5-6, 2017, students of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in nature and environmental conservation program at Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Nayok province.

29 students and 4 teachers walked across 3 nature trails inside the park and helped collect garbage along the different routes, frequently visited by tourists. The students belonged to the program of Business English, year 1-3. They stayed overnight in an unusually low temperature of 12 degree Celsius.

Khao Yai was the first national park in Thailand, established since 1962. The area covers 4 provinces including Nakhon Nayok province with a large forest area of 2,168 square kilometers. Common wild animals include elephants, bears, gaurs, barking deer, otters, gibbons and macaques.
