Aeronautics Students Visit to Thai Airways, Bangkok
The Thai government in 1960 established the Thai Airways Company Limited (TG) to provide Thailand with airlines National with international service The joint venture between Thai Air Navigation Company Limited and Scandinavian Airlines Thai Airways International Public Co,.Ltd is a national enterprise subordinated to the Ministry of Transport. It is a public company registered in The Securities Exchange of Thailand since 1991 with the Ministry of Finance. It operates the airlines business that transport passengers, goods, parcels and postal through air transportation via Thai major cities to the primary cities around the world. In addition to that THAI offers a wide range of flight simulators for pilot training with the latest simulation technology.
Orientation in Cabin Simulator
Flight simulator training center is located at Thai Airways International Head Office, Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road, Bangkok. The THAI simulator Experience program is offering a special promotion to practice flight skills in these simulators: Airbus A380-800, A340-500/600, A330-300, A300-600, Boeing B747-400, B777-200/300, B737-400. All simulator experience will be under the supervision of actual THAI pilots as flight instructors.
On October 29th, 2019 the Third year Aeronautics Students along with five lecturers and the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the College visited the Thai Airways (TG) by 8.00 AM. The Chief of the Thai Airways, engineers and instructor welcomed the Vice President, Lectures and the students.
Dr. Chaipat Wattanasan presented the memento to the Aircraft simulator operating Engineer
The simulator operating engineer gave the lecture about Thai airways and the types of aircraft simulator operations in the company. After the lecture the students were split into two groups for a practical session on Boeing 747 – 200 & 300 series simulators, each group were assisted by the instructor pilots.

The instructor pilots taught the cockpit controls and flight operations by real-time environment in the simulator. All the students have operated the aircraft simulator and learnt the operations.

This visit helped to expand our understanding in terms of the practical application of classroom knowledge. Finally, we left from Thai airways by 2.00 PM and reached the college by 3.00 PM. The feedback from the students was collected to assess the outcome of the visit. It was found that the students enjoyed much and they got more knowledge on the simulator flight training.
