Thai Aviation Industry Visit 2023
On January 25th, 2023, the Year II & III students along with Aj. Praveen Shaju, Aj. Hariramakrishnan visited the Thai Aviation Industry, Don Mueang District for a study tour. Thai Aviation Industry Co., Ltd. has processed high capacities to repair and maintain a variety of commercial and military aircraft at the Aircraft maintenance center, Wing 1 Don Mueang District, Bangkok. They are providing services such as Sheet Metal Work, Aircraft Painting, Schedule Maintenance and Un-Schedule Maintenance. TAI service has widely served the military, government sectors and various kinds of commercial aircraft. The students gained valuable exposure and practical training in the Aircraft Maintenance hangar, where they had the opportunity to work with the maintenance logbook and learn essential safety protocols for aircraft handling. Additionally, they were introduced to modern inspection methods for various types of non-destructive testing (NDT), familiarized themselves with different tools used in maintenance, and learned about both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements. They also gained insights into the diverse maintenance services provided to aircraft, tailored to meet the specific needs of different airliners.
By connecting their classroom learning with hands-on experience, the students were able to develop a deeper understanding of the operations and functions of an aircraft maintenance unit. This visit significantly contributed to enhancing their moral and ethical values, as well as their practical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
